Fines totalling 114 million euro have been imposed for breaches of the basic data protection regulation in the EU since its entry into force in May 2018.
This is the conclusion reached by the information platform “onlinehaendler-news.de”, which is based on a search by the international law firm “DLA Piper Global”. According to DLA Piper, 37,636 infringements and 24.6 million euros in fines were imposed in Germany.
